Betcha’ never knew that DC had wetlands. Kingman and Heritage Islands are in NE and SE DC in the Anacostia River. They are DC’s very own wildlife refuge where you can see turtles, egrets and of course, take an amazing hike right in the city!!!

Most people think that this set of tunnels merely connect one end of the library to the other. Wrong! It is an intricately developed tunnel system that connects the library to the Capitol Building and other super secret places. There are newstands, donut shops, a bordega and even a subway system that is totally separate from the metro!
